Every organization needs to acquire (procure) goods, services and work that is vital to the organisation. Procurement can help to streamline processes, reduce raw material prices and identify better sources of supply. It can help organisations control spend, and with organisations spending more than two thirds of their revenue on procurement, even small cost reductions can have a big impact. Furthermore, corruption increases the cost of procurement contracts by up to 25% in developing countries and can increase up to business costs by up to 10% globally.
Proper procurement practices can help prevent corruption and improve accountability which can protect your brand. With the changes to the procurement legislation in Trinidad and Tobago, the new regulatory framework will create new job opportunities in Procurement and Supply Chain.
The Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), is the world’s largest organisation dedicated to the procurement and supply profession. CIPS is the voice of the procurement and supply profession, with a global community of over 200,000 professionals in over 150 countries. CIPS Global Standard in Procurement and Supply is the benchmark for skills and competencies in the profession.
CIPS offers a range of professional qualifications that have become recognised as the industry standard for the procurement profession. The qualifications are structured and progressive with procurement and supply at the core. They reflect modern procurement practices across the globe and aim to future-proof students. CIPS qualifications are recognised in the UK (Ofqual) and by ACTT.
If you want to improve your career or job prospects in procurement and supply chain sector, then the CIPS qualifications will help you to achieve these goals. CIPS provides knowledge and networking capabilities that can lead to a rewarding career. It helps you to demonstrate a variety of skills, including good business sense, financial management, and a flair for communication and negotiation. CIPS prepares you for a range of careers in procurement and supply chain which are in high demand globally and helps with managing the supplier base and maintaining long term relationships with them.

CTS College has been delivering educational programmes for over 20 years. We have learnt a lot from our students regarding incorporating academics into their busy lifestyles, achieving recognised qualifications over a short period of time and creating payment plans that work for the them.
With that in mind we have designed the CIPS programme to give you the ability to:
With the implementation of the new syllabus, CIPS has also introduced Computer Based Examinations for all modules. This means that students will be using a computer at a CBE testing centre to complete their exam. CIPS research has suggested that 90% of students prefer CBE exams to paper based examinations. CBE exams have 2 formats:
Objective Response [OR] - Single, short questions that requires the candidate to choose or type a response to the question where the correct answer(s) are predetermined. These are auto marked. There are typically 15 available sitting options per OR exam during the OR exam week.
Constructive Response [CR] - Constructed response questions require the student to ‘construct’ a response to the question, such as an essay, by typing their response. There is only one sitting for a CR exam during the CR exam week.
