Overview

The Level 4 Diploma is a valuable management tool for those moving into junior and middle management procurement roles or those supervising the procurement function to provide the relevant knowledge, skills and understanding. It focuses on organisational procedures and processes including negotiating, planning, risk management and data analysis..

This qualification is designed for those working within the following typical job titles:

  • Buyer, Procurement / purchasing executive,
  • Procurement specialist
  • Contract officer, Supply chain / inventory / logistics analyst
  • Supply chain / inventory / logistics planner.

Entry Requirement

Applicants may start at this level provided they satisfy at least one of the requirements below:

  • A minimum of 2 A Levels or equivalent (or higher) OR
  • At least two (2) years’ relevant work experience in a business environment OR
  • Successfully completed the CIPS Level 3 Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations

Objective Response [OR] - Single, short questions that require the candidate to choose or type a response to the question where the correct answer(s) are predetermined. These are auto marked. There are typically 15 available sitting options per OR exam during the OR exam week.

Constructive Response [CR] - Constructed response questions require the student to create ‘construct’ a response to the question, such as an essay by typing their response. There is only one sitting for a CR exam during the CR exam week.

Class Schedule

  • CTS College will be offering classes for 12 Credits per semester (either 1 x 12 credit unit or 2 x 6 credit units).
  • 12 credit units are held on Saturdays from 8am to 5pm.
  • 6 credit units are held on Saturdays from 8am – 12pm (one module) and Saturdays from 1pm to 5pm (second module).
  • Duration: 6 Saturdays.

Registration

Registration is a 2-step process:

Registering with cts

Students must register with CTS College each semester in order to undertake tuition. Registration is done at the College.

Registering with CIPS

Students must also register with CIPS before they can undertake any CIPS examination. Additionally, students will be required to pay an annual subscription fee each year to renew their CIPS membership. Membership with CIPS also allows students access to CIPS online resources which will be useful for examination and continued professional development.

The most direct way to become a CIPS Member is by joining online at https://www.cips.org/en/membership/why-join-cips/how-to-join/. Payment by credit card will be required for your application to be processed. If you do not have a credit card please contact CTS College’s administrative office for assistance. Forms are also available at CTS College’s administration office, where students can receive further assistance.

Cost

Fees are payable to both CTS College and to CIPS. Fees can be paid per semester and students are only required to pay for those units that they are enrolled in. CTS College is offering a competitive pricing strategy for the CIPS programme with a special introductory pricing.
