Purpose:

The purpose of the CLSS course is to provide fundamental knowledge about Lean and Six Sigma - the leading process improvement tools - and their applications to business processes, including supply chain management.

Scope:

The CLSS contains practical knowledge about the two main process improvement tools that are time-tested and proven to deliver results. Lean improves cash flow by reducing waste and eliminating non-value-added activities, whereas Six Sigma improves quality. Used in tandem, these tools have the potential to turn around businesses struggling with waste, complexity and inefficiency.

Course Content

The Certificate in Lean and Six Sigma course has been developed following the ADDIE methodology of curriculum development. BRASI’s Programme Advisory Group (BRASI PAG) is responsible for the development, assessment, and continuous improvement of BRASI’s training programmes, following the guidelines contained in the standard ASTM E-2659.

The CLSS course provides fundamental knowledge in the key areas of process improvement, including the following:

Assessment

Students would be required to take a final assessment after completing the course review.

Certification

In order to receive the certificate for this course students must obtain a minimum score of 70% in the final assessment. Certificates for all of the BRASI courses are issued centrally by BRASI and are downloadable.

Each BRASI certificate carries a unique ID for verification, and is valid for life.

Note: A CLSS certificate holder has a basic understanding of the core concepts, tools and methodologies used in Lean and Six Sigma.
