Students completing the course are encouraged to write the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) and CompTIA Project + examination. Although the exam is optional, the certification received from writing the exam is an important way to validate your learning and is an excellent tool when seeking employment.
CTS College currently offers two globally recognized courses in Project Management:
The CAPM is attained from PMI (Project Management Institute) a globally recognized organization whose standards for project, program and portfolio management are the most widely recognized ones in the profession and are a model for project management in business and government.
CAPM adheres to the PMI standard and is aligned to the PMBOK Guide, Sixth Edition. Certification is attained by writing the CAPM examinations offered by PMI.
For the CAPM, you can schedule your exam at a testing site or in an online proctored environment through Pearson VUE by logging-in to your MyPMI account and following the prompts.
Then all that's left is to test.
CompTIA Project+ is obtained by writing the PK0-004 examination. The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) is the leading provider of vendor-neutral IT certifications in the world. With more than 2,000,000 IT certifications issued worldwide, CompTIA is dedicated to helping IT professionals lead the charge in our digitally connected world.
The CompTIA Project+ was originally known as IT Project+ and aimed only towards IT project managers.
CompTIA has since renamed and broadened the scope of this certification to encompass project managers beyond the IT field and is now equally useful for all types of project managers and project management issues.
Exams must be scheduled at www.pearsonvue.com where you may choose an appropriate date, time and location to sit examinations.
