  • FinTech (Financial Technology) with special emphasis on Block Chain Technology and Cryptocurrency

Within the course the discussions would surround both the theoretical and the applied side of the most practical ideas and strategies used in the world of finance. Cryptocurrency trading has within recent times become a popular tool in the financial world. This course will be presented in a manner that will make it easy to assimilate even if you come from outside the sphere of finance.

The course is ideal for persons in all spheres wishing to navigate through saving and investing for their financial well-being. As well as individuals interested in the essential concepts of Block Chain Technology and Cryptocurrency.

Exam and Assessment

The course combines a number of teaching techniques including lectures, guest lectures by those with special competences in sub fields, class discussions, group work evaluations of actual real life events and projects.

Final Exam

All students are required to sit a written final exam consisting of multiple-choice questions.  A certificate of completion will be awarded to all students who have passed the examination.

Mrs. Charles holds a master’s degree in Project Management; Bachelor’s degree in Management and Certificates in Mediation and Counselling.  She is proficient in SPSS Data Analysis and Accounting and in the Preparation of personal and business taxation. She has in excess of 20 years professional experience as an educator.

Patricia Govia

Ms. Govia holds a master’s degree in Project Management; a Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies; Certification in Taxation, Bookkeeping and Accounting, Building Construction; Measurement of Building and Civil Engineering Works, Introduction to Occupational Health and Safety and Results Based Monitoring and Evaluation.  She has over 30 years professional experience in the areas of Banking, Finance and Portfolio Management, Business Development and Advisory and Project Management - Monitoring and Evaluation.
