Entry Requirements

In order to enrol for this programme, students are expected to be computer literate and have basic a understanding of Microsoft Office applications, inclusive of Micosoft Excel. Familiarity with data mamagement concepts and SharePoint lists would be an asset.

1: Introduction to MS PowerApps

Understand the fundamentals of PowerApps, MS Dataverse concept, including the user interface, key features and use cases.

2: Types of Apps

Introduction to Model Driven and Canvas App, and when and why to use each.

3: Data Sources and Integration

Learn how to connect PowerApps to various data sources such as SharePoint, Excel, SQL Server and more.

4: PowerApps Syntax

Learning basic to advance PowerApps syntax, such as call to actions, user prompts, custom messages, validations, etc.

5: Scaling Apps

Learning to build apps for PC, Tablets and Mobile Phones

6: PowerApps Controls

Learning how and when to use form controls, button controls, gallery controls, dropdown controls, radio buttons, labels, container controls, etc.

7: Building Apps

Step-by-step guidance on creating canvas and model-driven apps, utilising templates and from scratch, and customising app functionality.

8: Customisation, Branding and Media

Font sizes, screen colours, backgrounds, transitions, duplicating screens, etc.

9: App Sharing and Permissions

Learning how to share applications built with specific users and various roles permissions that can be given.

10: Advanced App Development

Explore advanced topics such as custom connectors, Power Automate integration and leveraging AI Builder.

11: App Deployment and Management

Best practices for deploying apps, managing versions and securing data.

This course will be delivered via live online classes. Students will be provided with a link to join the class as well as other relevant instructions at least one day before the start of each class. These classes are also recorded - therefore students have the option to review the course content as often as they like.

Students would be required to complete the following assessment(s) for this course:

Certification

In order to receive the CTS College certificate of completion or participation for this course, students must attend a minimum of 75% of classes and pay any outstanding fees. Where applicable, students who do not meet the necessary assessment requirements, but attended the required number of classes would receive a CTS College certificate of participation.

With over 8 years’ experience in the IT field, Mr. Damian Felix has honed his technical skills from gaining extensive experience in working with Microsoft platforms such as SharePoint, Power Apps and Power Apps, thus helping streamline business processes whilst providing management with strategic decision-making capabilities. Mr. Felix also has extensive experience in application development, management and administration.

Presently managing Business Intelligence Operations, with a background in Computer, Network and Telecommunications Engineering with necessary qualifications, Damian also possesses a BSc (Hons) degree in Information Technology and an MBA with a specialisation in the field of Digital Technology Management. Damian is responsible for not only managing the use of digital technology and technological platforms from an organisational standpoint, but also leads digital transformation through building, overseeing and introducing new technological solutions.
