Interior decorating refers to the art and science of making an interior space more aesthetically pleasing and functionally useful for its inhabitants. The Mastering Interior Design course has been designed to provide you with the professional skills required to succeed as an interior designer. This course offers you a unique opportunity to develop a full or part time career as an interior designer or to use your skills as a profitable sideline.

  • Introduction to the principles of design as it relates to Contrast, Balance, Scale, Proportion, Unity, Variety and Emphasis, exploring independently and as a contributory element to an overall result
  • Importance of wall coverings and interior lighting
  • How to effectively and strategically use artwork, fixtures and furniture
  • Use of furniture to build the desired aesthetic

Note: Candidates are required to bring their own equipment as materials/tools are not provided by CTS College.

Delivery Mode

Online Classes

This course will be delivered via live online classes. Students who have successfully enrolled in the course will be provided with a link to join the class as well as other relevant instructions at least one day before the start of the class. These classes are also recorded; therefore, students have the option to review the course content as often as they like.

Facilitator

Mr. Jason Phillip

Mr. Jason Phillip possesses more than 5 years’ experience, extensive and considerably in the design and decorating industry. His innate desire to create and design interiors has exceeded his clients’ expectations. Since 2017 Jason Phillip has utilized his talents in a wide array of design concerns, most notably interior design, retail store design, showroom and product design.

Complimenting this practice is an ongoing involvement in the design of residential and commercial spaces and is responsible for some of the most successful real estate staging in Trinidad.

Jason has completed programs with the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business, and is a qualified Accountant completing Studies with Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Multi-disciplined, Jason has professional certifications in Event Management, Furniture construction, Floral Arrangement and Design just some to name.

He currently holds the position as lead interior designer and Store Manager for the luxury home furnishings brand- Dwellings.
