The Introduction to Solar Power Systems course at CTS College provides participants with comprehensive training in Photovoltaic (PV) systems installation. The program focuses on equipping individuals with the skills needed for the design, installation, commission, inspection and maintenance of solar panel systems. Beyond technical aspects, the course explores the changing roles of alternative energy and the associated business opportunities.
Covering topics such as site surveys, system designs, health and safety, component sizing and electrical installation, participants gain a holistic understanding of solar power systems. The programme uniquely concludes with a practical session, allowing participants to assemble, test, and start up a PV system. Successful completion ensures participants are well-prepared to perform design calculations, installations, and adhere to NEC laws, contributing to the growing field of solar energy.
With the growing solar power industry and every country's amending laws with regards to transitioning to renewable energy, climate change and carbon reduction, completing this programme would provide participants with much more business and/or job opportunities.
