Overview

The Business Etiquette course at CTS college provides students with a set of guidelines that determine what manners and actions are appropriate at work, which is vital to the success of any person entering a working environment. Students would understand that following proper business etiquette would allow everyone to communicate better and be more productive.

Assessment

There are no formal assessments for this course.

Certification

In order to receive the CTS College certificate of completion or participation for this course, students must attend a minimum of 75% of classes and pay any outstanding fees. Where applicable, students who do not meet the necessary assessment requirements, but attended the required number of classes would receive a CTS College certificate of participation.

This course is offered at the affordable price of $1000. In order to start the course, students must pay a minimum of 50% before the first class.

At CTS College, we believe in crafting an extraordinary student experience. This is why we have selected Mrs. Giselle Laronde-West to facilitate the Business Etiquette course. Mrs. Laronde-West not only imparts knowledge, but creates a learning experience where students feel valued and appreciated. She is also committed to shaping a transformative learning journey and creating an educational adventure that goes beyond the ordinary.

Giselle's life as a career woman, wife and mother of two sons, began after she returned from studying for her Bachelor of Arts double degree in Communications and Sociology and working for Hilton International in England. She joined Hilton International Trinidad in 1992 and spent 9 years there as the Public Relations Manager and Corporate Sales Manager.

In 2001 she moved to Angostura Limited as the Senior Manager, Corporate Communications, to form a communications team and spent 17 years with them. She read for her MSc in Tourism Management and Development in 2018 and in February 2019, joined Caribbean Airlines as the Customer Experience Executive, where she retired in 2023. Mrs. Laronde-West has conducted several training courses throughout her working life, including Business Etiquette, Dining Etiquette, Networking Techniques, Customer Service and Corporate Communications, for corporate companies, institutions and other educational institutions and groups.

Giselle is the holder of the Hummingbird Gold medal, the nation’s second highest award, was one of the founding members and past Presidents of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABCTT), and was on the board of the Clico Credit Union for 15 years, as well as chairman of the education committee. She is the brand ambassador for the organisation Conflict Women, who gives domestically abused women, opportunities to be independent and become sustainable.  She was appointed to the board of the Foundation for the Enhancement and Enrichment of Life (FEEL) in 2024.
